The New Hut was the newest hut on the station when it was constructed in 1923. Since then the name has stuck. We've restored the hut extensively over the years and it is now a wonderful base for an exclusive high country sojourn.

Situated 10kms from the main homestead, in a beautiful remote location, the New Hut is only accessible on foot, bike or by 4WD with high clearance. In keeping with the environment, the hut is rustic, simple, and comfortable. It sits lightly on the land, utilising solar power for lighting, gas for appliances, and a log burner for hot water and heating.
